This watch is a G10SL/100 below is a full description of this particular watch and the issues which it has (or is reported to have because in many cases the watches do not have significant issues, below that is the full information relating to this model from the factory website which gives full details of all of the dimensions, specification and other information relating to the watch.

We buy these watches from various defence auctions and other disposal sales and it's frequently the case that we find that there is actually nothing wrong with the watch but it has to be assumed it will have some form of fault though in most cases it's very minor or as described below. These watches are disposed of at low-cost because we find that one of the problems is pressure of time for our service staff in the UK and elsewhere and in most cases they have given them a quick check over and nothing is immediately apparent though we have to assume that there is either no real fault with the watch or something will reveal itself over time in which case it’s normally a simple case of a service, repair or battery exchange depending on the exact model

Model: G10SL/100

Condition: This watch is quite old, it's a 2011 model which was used extensively by one of our regular military buyers. He decided it was time to chop it in for a brand-new model of the same type hence this is in the box that would've been used for the new watch, the watch is in typical issued condition and has been used on regular deployments over the last 13 years. Other than the fact it might benefit from a new Crystal everything about the Watch looks very clean and tidy.

Fault: The watch is running fine as far as we can see it was in the office for two or three weeks before we sent it to our packing centre and we gave it a quick check over and the date and everything changes and there were no issues with the timekeeping so it seems sound considering it's age. Below is the current factory description of the same watch which is still made in very much the same specification and can be seen on the factory website here https://mwcwatches.com/products/g10sl-mkv-100m-water-resistant-with-gtls-tritium-light-sources?_pos=1&_sid=96401a731&_ss=r

Factory Description:

This is the latest self luminous G10 model in a heavy duty stainless steel case with 100m (330ft) Water Resistance, screw down crown, screw caseback and 10 year battery life! The MWC G10 SL MKV is one of the highest specification G10 military watch available from any manufacturer.

This model combines the best of new and traditional technology. It keeps all the popular features from the conventional G10 Luminova models and employs the same solid steel case whilst having the benefit of the cutting edge self luminous GTLS tritium vials. The actual specification of this watch was dictated by American Military Specification Number: US MIL-W-46374F.

The self luminous system makes the watch very easy to read at night and the MKV has a very distinctive face layout. The hour and minute hands each have a brightly glowing vial of Tritium gas with 2 lights at 12 which is a feature unique to MWC. Whilst the vials contain radioactive gas even when thay are all taken together they contain less than the personal limit of 25 millicuries. (see U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations 10 CFR 30.15).

Military watches of this type are the easiest in the world to read in low light or total darkness thanks to a self-activated light source which is 100 times brighter than traditional light sources such as paint. The light-emitting tubes require no battery power or any other form of charging, and never need servicing or maintenance. The life expectancy of the light sources is at least 10 years after which they would start to fade. To compare Tritium GTLS tubes and Super-LumiNova click here

The standard MWC G10 is one of the most tried and tested models and in its earlier variants has been in service for almost 30 years, this model shares a similar casing to the Luminova models hence it will be just as durable as the non tritium Luminova versions which we manufacture.

The G10 SL MKV is supplied with a heavyweight NATO webbing strap. The reverse of the case carries various contract markings.
