This retro-pattern MWC military watch is inspired by the classic designs used by the British Army in the 1960s. It has been upgraded from an acrylic crystal to a glass crystal to meet modern water resistance standards. While maintaining its original outward appearance, the watch incorporates discreet updates that enhance its suitability for daily use.
One significant upgrade is the hybrid mechanical/quartz movement. MWC hybrid watches combine the best of both traditional and modern watchmaking technology. They feature components from both automatic and quartz models, resulting in an ultra-low-maintenance hybrid movement. The hybrid design includes a battery-powered movement regulated by a quartz oscillator, with mechanically actuated hands. Essentially, it functions like a mechanical watch but is powered by a battery, without the need for a mainspring. This offers the convenience of a quartz watch with the sweeping second hand typically found in automatic watches.
The watch features a robust stainless steel satin-finished case made from Military Grade 316L stainless steel, a sweeping second hand, hacking function, black dial, and luminous markings. It also includes two straps: one grey and one black.
