Fault: None - We are clearing these watches in batches of 10. They are located in one of our packing centres and unfortunately a quantity of new and old stock became mixed during the course of a stock check, this has created a headache because we do not know which are new stock and which are old therefore have decided to clear these watches. Many of our regular clients are watchmakers/jewellers or sometimes just people with basic horological experience who can replace the batteries, this is therefore an ideal opportunity for resellers to make some good money on these watches which are all brand-new.

This watch is based on the MIL-W-46374C, the specification was originally published on April 15th 1983, the original watches are now very rare but this is visually almost indistinguishable from the originals. The original watches were plastic but these are upgraded to all-metal construction to increase durability.
The watch is available in both olive drab and matt black cased variants both are supplied on a US pattern webbing strap of the same pattern as was used at the time these watches were issued in the 1980s. The watches measure 39mm x 40mm which is the same as the 1980s model, these dimensions make them closer to current watch sizes than some of the older and smaller MIL-W-46374 watches previously issued.
These watches are currently very popular because they were the first model to move from the typical older pattern watches used in the 1960s, '70s and early 80's to the larger more modern watches which are still in use today, interestingly you can see that many current models from various other manufacturers such as Traser with the P5900 tend to retain design cues that link directly back to these models from almost half a century ago. An original watch from 1985 can be seen in the final image.
