THIS WATCH IS DUE TO ARRIVE WITH A SHIPMENT OF OTHER WATCHES AROUND JANUARY 20TH 2023

This watch is a MWC/PVD/DMK1  below is a full description of this particular watch and the issues which it has (or is reported to have.

We buy these watches from various defence auctions and other disposal sales and it's frequently the case that we find that there is actually nothing wrong with the watch but it has to be assumed it will have some form of fault though in most cases it's very minor or as described below. These watches are disposed of at low-cost because we find that one of the problems is pressure of time for our service staff in the UK and elsewhere and in most cases they have given them a quick check over and nothing is immediately apparent though we have to assume that there is either no real fault with the watch or something will reveal itself over time in which case it’s normally a simple case of a service, repair or battery exchange depending on the exact model

Model: MWC/PVD/DMK1

Condition: Brand New but Not Running

Fault: Will you change two of these watches from a military clearance sale they were were made between 1999 and 2001, so we suspect that based on the age and the fact the watches are brand new the most likely issue is simply that a replacement battery is needed.

SKU: MWC/PVD/DMK1

This watch has never been issued or used. It utilises a Swiss Ronda 705/715 movement.

These watches are a very classic design and in addition to MWC variants have been made by other companies such as Precista, CWC etc as well as some other manufacturers. The current CWC watches are shown here https://www.cwcwatch.com/collections/divers-watches at a fraction of the price these are a bargain but we only have a small quantity.

The basic design of this watch goes back to the British defence specification shown in the final image.

The PVD finish is often specified in military contracts for many special forces units as well as by anti terrorist units and for various covert operations. In the PVD process the steel is not black all the way through because the colour is created by a special chemical PVD plating process which is vastly superior to the painted finish used on some lower quality watches which can easily fade or rub off. This PVD process means that the colour of the steel is altered at a molecular level, therefore it will not deteriorate even during heavy usage although it can be destroyed if the case is badly damaged by a piece of metal being gouged out or if the case is worn down by really heavy abrasion against rocks or something similar.

The watch measures 45mm including the crown and 40mm excluding the crown although it uses the the same 20mm military nylon webbing strap as many other current MWC (or CWC, Marathon etc) military divers watches which enables you to choose from a vast variety of NATO strap variants.
