This watch is a W10B made in 1991 variants are quite rare although it is very similar to other MWC W10 models of this pattern still made today, below is a full description of this particular watch and the issues which it has.

We buy these watches from various defence auctions and other disposal sales and it's frequently the case that we find that there is actually nothing wrong with the watch but it has to be assumed it will have some form of fault though in most cases it's very minor or as described below. These watches are disposed of at low-cost because we find that one of the problems is pressure of time for our service staff in the UK and elsewhere and in most cases they have given them a quick check over and nothing is immediately apparent though we have to assume that there is either no real fault with the watch or something will reveal itself over time in which case it’s normally a simple case of a service, repair or battery exchange depending on the exact model

Model: W10 Automatic

Condition: Issued but sound as can be seen in the images

Fault: Runs but needs a new crystal and a hand straightening - see images.

Factory Description of current model this model is the one referred to in the first paragraph. :

SKU Code: W10B

The hand wound version of this automatic self winding W10 was the predecessor to the quartz G10/98 models used by the armed forces of today. This model is a significantly updated version of the original 1960/70s model but it retains the original outward appearance whilst having the advantages of firstly a date window and secondly a 24 jewel high performance NH35A self winding movement which also has the option to be hand wound if you're not wearing it everyday. The watch has another advantage over the older models in that it has a screw caseback for easier maintenance - earlier versions (as well as current CWC models) are serviced by removing the glass which made servicing impractical except by returning them to the manufacturer.

The Automatic W10 has a heavy stainless steel satin finish case made from Military Grade 316L stainless steel, it is very robust and tough and built to endure the most extreme of conditions, sweep second hand, black dial and luminous markings. Please note The watch uses Luminous paint although the watch carries a T for historical accuracy though no radioactive material is contained within the watch. This watch is water resistant to 3 ATM.
