Our packing center found this watch during a stock check. MWC made these in 2015 when they received a large order from some serving U.S military in the Middle East this is probably the last new example available anywhere.

MWC's Vietnam Watches are virtually identical in appearance to the watches used by American troops in the Vietnam war during the 1960s and 1970s and they normally produce two original variants in either covert black or the original olive drab but this watch is the last one remaining from a limited edition of four different models which they made at the request of some serving US military based in the middle east who asked if they could run some special models for them. Once the watches were actually made and MWC looked at and received feedback from their dealers (us included) they realised that it was probably worth running them as a special limited edition and they have proven to be extremely popular. In essence these watches are a contemporary take on the original watches and the four variants provide a substantial degree of variation on the same theme - all are now sold out except this one variant where we have a few remaining. MWC manufactured plastic Vietnam watches for many years which were based on the original Vietnam models which you can see when you click this link where there are various images and details. The actual US Military Issue models were made of plastic because they were deemed disposable and of course the problem with MWC making their own Vietnam watches in plastic is they were in effect very basic just like the originals so in 2010 they decided to completely rethink the watch and whilst keeping the original appearance, weight and feel switched to all metal construction which means that although the watch looks very close to the originals it is vastly superior in both durability and general quality.
