This watch is a T/G10/SOL/L below is a full description of this particular watch and the issues which it has (or is reported to have because in many cases the watches do not have significant issues, below that is the full information relating to this model from the factory website which gives full details of all of the dimensions, specification and other information relating to the watch. We buy these watches from various defence auctions and other disposal sales and it's frequently the case that we find that there is actually nothing wrong with the watch but it has to be assumed it will have some form of fault though in most cases it's very minor or as described below. These watches are disposed of at low-cost because we find that one of the problems is pressure of time for our service staff in the UK and elsewhere and in most cases they have given them a quick check over and nothing is immediately apparent though we have to assume that there is either no real fault with the watch or something will reveal itself over time in which case it’s normally a simple case of a service, repair or battery exchange depending on the exact model
Condition: Excellent / As New
Fault: Probably just needs a new capacitor. The movement is a Pulsar Cal: AS32 so the capacitor is freely available and is a Panasonic MT621 or Seiko as pictured final two images which show both the Seiko item and part number and the Panasonic but Pulsar, Citizen and Hitori along with other manufacturers produce compatible capacitors and any watch supplier would have a cross reference chart or you can search the the web. We have used various brands over the years in these and other watches of similar type and all the brands seem as good as each other so which one you use is not an issue, we refer to the Seiko because its the original capacitor used in the watch.
BELOW IS THE DESCRIPTION FROM THE FACTORY WEBSITE
SKU Code: T/G10/SOL/L
This is the latest MWC G10 model from our Combat Elite series in a solid titanium case with 100m (330ft) Water Resistance rating, screw down crown, screw caseback and no battery replacement hassles due to the sophisticated solar powered movement which has super accuracy and is charged by either artificial light or daylight. When fully charged the watch has a 4 month power reserve so even if you only wear it for a week or two a year it will keep running for 4 months as opposed to around 36 hours with a standard mechanical automatic watch. You will have plenty of warning when the power reserve is low because the second hand will start moving at two-second intervals instead of the normal one-second intervals, to charge the watch it just needs to be exposed to light either by wearing it or leaving it near a light in the house or on a window sill. The great thing with this type of watch is that generally it doesn't require any maintenance at all because there is always sufficient light to ensure it has an adequate charge unless you leave it in a drawer somewhere dark.
We designed these watches specifically for a government contract when it was pointed out they would not be used continuously and for this reason the ability to be kept in storage and issued when required whilst still remain accurate and ready for use when needed was a vital consideration. Clearly this makes sense because if the watches are not being used all the time the last thing a government department or military unit would want is to remove them from the stores only to find that the batteries are flat! These watches solve that problem 100% because there are no batteries to worry about and there are therefore no circumstances where they could not be utilized at very short notice.
With such a sophisticated movement the MWC G10 SL SOL is currently by far the highest specification G10 military watch available from any manufacturer and is among the two most sophisticated models made by ourselves the other being the Hybrid titanium models which we manufacture.
The standard MWC G10 is one of the most tried and tested models and in its earlier variants has been in service for almost 30 years, this model shares a similar design to the steel models but the titanium case means this watch is the most high quality G10 model available anywhere in the world.
The G10 Combat Elite range are supplied with a heavyweight NATO webbing strap. The reverse of the case carries various contract markings.

IMPORTANT REF AS32 Movement - Military Watches fitted with the AS32 (Solar movement) can be somewhat confusing because the largest brands using this movement Seiko, Citizen and Pulsar tend to use various different codes for the same item. Typically this movement often crops up in Citizen and Pulsar watches such as the Pulsar PX3037 b but other leading military brands such as MWC among others use them too. The part number for the capacitor (sometimes called a battery although that is not an accurate description) is 302624T it cross references to Citizen Capacitor 295.37 (MT621 is also the same) most good watchmakers will figure this out or take the details directly from the capacitor itself. The other complication is that there are various brands of the actual capacitor as well but the most common is the Panasonic MT621.
