MWC G10 100m Hybrid Powered Titanium Military Watch with Super Luminova (Likely Needs a Capacitor Swap)
DW397
This watch look very sound but is in issued condition (see images) it's 8 years old and likely needs a capacitor swap as its not running. It was purchased in a military and defence industries auction and some other watches of similar type.
The capacitors are freely available if needed because the watch uses a Seiko movement.
The correct replacement capacitor is in the final two images which show the Seiko item and part number but Pulsar, Citizen and Hitori as well as Panasonic and other manufacturer produce compatible capacitors and any watch supplier would have a cross reference chart or you can search the the web. We have used various brands over the years in these and other watches of similar type and all the brands seem as good as each other so which one you use is not an issue, we refer to the Seiko as its the original capacitor used in the watch.
The Capacitor is generally around $12.95 see http://www.allwatchparts.com/Original-SEIKO-Capacitor-Battery-30235MZ_p_683.html or on eBay.

FACTORY DESCRIPTION FROM 2015
SKU Code: T/G10/HY/L
This is the latest MWC G10 model from their Combat Elite series in a solid titanium case with 100m (330ft) Water Resistance, screw down crown, screw caseback, Super Luminova and a sophisticated hybrid movement which combines the characteristics of an automatic watch with a super accurate quartz movement. The MWC Hybrid range use a special rechargeable Lithium–Titanate power cell, this sophisticated hybrid movement combines the characteristics of an automatic watch because it is charged by wrist movement with quartz accuracy. The Lithium–Titanate rechargeable cell is vastly superior to a normal watch battery where new batteries are often needed at regular intervals. When fully charged the watch has a 6 month power reserve so even if you only wear it for a few weeks a year it will then keep running for 6 months as opposed to around 36 hours with a standard mechanical automatic watch. You will also have plenty of warning when the power reserve is low because the second hand will start moving at two-second intervals instead of the normal one-second intervals, the watch will run down in approximately 12 hours once this happens unless it is worn (or put on a watch winder) to get the Lithium–Titanate cell charged up again. The watch also has a hacking feature for synchronization or to enable you to stop the watch running and conserve power if it won't be used for an extended period.
With such a sophisticated movement the MWC G10 SL Hybrid is currently by far the highest specification G10 military watch available from any manufacturer and is among the most sophisticated models made by MWC the other being the solar powered titanium model which they manufacture model: T/G10/SOL/L.
Essentially this model combines the best of new and traditional watchmaking technology. It retains all the popular features from the conventional steel G10 models but has a titanium case and hybrid ultra low maintenance movement.
MWC designed these watches specifically for a government contract when it was pointed out they would not be used continuously and for this reason the ability to be kept in storage and issued when required whilst still remain accurate and ready for use when needed was a vital consideration. Clearly this makes sense because if the watches are not being used all the time the last thing a government department or military unit would want is to remove them from the stores only to find that the batteries are flat! These watches solve that problem 100% because as long as the movement is stopped by using the hacking function they can be utilized at very short notice.
The standard MWC G10 is one of the most tried and tested models and in its earlier variants has been in service for almost 30 years, this model shares a similar design to the steel models but the titanium case means this watch is the most high quality G10 model available anywhere in the world.
The G10 Combat Elite range are supplied with a heavyweight NATO webbing strap. The reverse of the case carries various contract markings.
