This watch is based on the MIL-W-46374C, the specification was originally published on April 15th 1983, the original watches are now very rare but this is visually almost indistinguishable from the originals.  The original watches were plastic but these are upgraded to all metal construction to increase durability.

The watch is available in both olive drab and matt black cased variants both are supplied on a US pattern webbing strap of the same pattern as was used at the time these watches were issued in the 1980s. The watches measure 39mm x 40mm which is the same as the 1980s model, these dimensions make them closer to current watch sizes than some of the older and smaller MIL-W-46374 watches previously issued.

These watches are currently very popular because they were the first model to move from the typical older pattern watches used in the 1960's, 70's and early 80's to the larger more modern watches which are still in use today, interestingly you can see that many current models from various other manufacturers such as Traser with the P5900 tend to retain design cues that link directly back to these models from almost half a century ago. An original watch from 1985 can be see in the final image.
