The robust 300m water-resistant MWC Tactical Series of watches with titanium cases are specifically designed for law enforcement, marine, surface, and airborne applications. Manufactured to surpass U.S. W-46374F Type 6 specifications, these watches are regularly ordered by a bulk contract client who places substantial orders each year for variants of this specific design. Based on mid-1990s designs but with multiple upgrades, these watches have seen significant improvements, such as a solid titanium case and bezel (the original 1990s model, P650, was made from Polyamide), a shatter-resistant sapphire crystal, and a substantial increase in water resistance from 30m to 300m (99ft to 1000ft). Additionally, the watch features a screw-down locking crown and caseback. The bezel has high visibility numerals, and the dial is clear and easy to read even under adverse light conditions. The watch uses Swiss Tritium GTLS (Gaseous Tritium Light Sources), which are significantly brighter than any conventional luminous watch.

This timepiece features a high-quality Ronda high-precision quartz movement (Ronda calibre 715li), designed to withstand high G-forces, with an incredible 10-year battery life and an end-of-battery life indicator. Although it is not a dedicated diving watch, it is manufactured to the same water resistance rating as our diver's models with a screw-down crown and caseback, making it suitable for all land-based or marine requirements.

A key difference between this watch and many other models we manufacture is its design to maintain high levels of accuracy at altitudes up to 12,000m / 40,000ft without compensatory pressurization.

The dial features a radioactive tritium symbol. Tritium is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen that emits beta particles upon decay, which do not penetrate the skin, plastic, glass, etc. Even collectively, the vials contain less than the personal limit of 25 millicuries of radioactive gas, compliant with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations 10 CFR 30.15.

Why Choose Sapphire Crystal?

Many people ask about the benefits of sapphire crystal over standard mineral crystal. Synthetic sapphire is the superior material for watch crystals due to its exceptional strength and resistance to shattering and scratching. These characteristics make it highly appealing to military and security personnel, police officers, and active outdoor enthusiasts—groups that account for over 70% of our customers.

To put it in perspective, over 90% of watches with cracked crystals involve mineral glass. Even hardened mineral crystals do not match sapphire's durability. Sapphire crystals are heat-treated to remove internal stresses, enhancing their strength. They are then crafted into watch crystals with two layers of anti-reflective coating. Interestingly, sapphire crystal is also used on the latest iPhones. Although sapphire crystal is more expensive, it is typically found only on higher-end watches due to its superior qualities.
